Body Contact & Checking Clinic

The Reading Royals Youth Hockey Association will host a BODY CONTACT & CHECKING CLINIC at Body Zone Sports & Wellness Complex on Sunday, May 15th with two available time slots, 11:30 – 12:30 pm (birth years 2015-2011) and 1:00 – 2:00 pm (2010-2005). All positions will benefit from the drills being taught, so forwards and defense are encouraged to attend. NO GOALIES

This clinic will be about awareness on the ice, how to separate your opponent from the puck, and how to brace for impact. All drills will be taught with respect for our opponents in controlled stations and scenarios. Hockey is a physical sport, and the earlier we can start teaching proper techniques for delivering and receiving body contact, the better!

To provide top-notch individualized instruction, each slot will have no more than 24 players. The clinic will be led by former Reading Royal Terry Denike, Director of Youth Hockey. If anyone has questions please reach out to him by calling (610) 914-8111 or by emailing tdenike@royalshockey.com
