Welcome to the Reading Royals Youth Hockey Half Ice League for the 2023-2024 – Full Payment Option available after you have made the deposit. Full payment option can be used by 10/1/23 and is for those that would rather pay in full and not be bothered by partial payments.

HALF ICE LEAGUE (Late October Start – Early March Conclusion)

LOCATION: Body Zone Sports and Wellness Complex
HALF ICE LEAGUE(U6, U8 and beginner U10)
This league offers more structure in game play and rules.
The benefits of half ice for young players include: more touches of the puck, shots on net and passes.
This forces players to make quicker decisions due to the lack of time and space.
This format stresses the importance of puck possession, wanting to have the puck and wanting to get it back quickly when the other team has it.
Controlled line changes will ensure all players receive equal ice time.
Here’s What You Get
*12 weeks of Games – 1x 60 minute game slot per week = 3 Half ice games (Sunday afternoons)
* 14 weeks of Practice – 1x 60 minute practice slot per week (Tuesday or Thursday nights)
* Playoff and Championship awards included
