Try Hockey for Free

Try Hockey for Free - Presented By Berks Plumbing - is designed to provide kids ages 4 to 9 the opportunity to try hockey in a FUN, safe environment with trained coaching staff. No experience necessary!

Berks Plumbing & HVAC Specialist and Slapshot Charities sponsor monthly opportunities for kids in our community to try hockey at no charge!

*This program is designed for first-time hockey players only!

Due to limited spots- If your player currently plays on a team, or participates in any of our other programs- this program is not for them!

Ages:

Ages 4 to 9. If your player is just outside of this range, please reach out to coach Joely at jgriffith@royalshockey.com

Level:

No Experience Necessary! We will have plenty of staff available to help give your child a great first experience with hockey.

If your player currently participates in any RRYHA or other Hockey Program, we kindly ask that you do not register them for Try Hockey for Free.

We have limited spots for each event and want to allow new players the chance to Try Hockey!

Equipment:

Skates and Sticks are available to borrow!

Players will need-

A helmet (can be a hockey or bike helmet)
Any type of knee/elbow pads you have
Gloves (can be thick, snow gloves)
Snow Pants
Winter Jacket

How early should I arrive?

If this is your first Try Hockey for Free session, please arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. This will allow enough time to register and get your participant geared up and ready to go!
